StRAtOS is a multimedia & games developers association at Spain. We have more than 200 members groups in Spain and South America.

StRAtOS is a FREE association: there is any taxes for members. Only advantages are taken by becoming a member.

If you're a development team and you're interested in working with StRAtOS, or you have a game you like StRAtOS to publish, check this info.
StRAtOS always welcomes submissions from independent programmers and development teams who are creating PC games.
If you've got what it takes to push the envelope in game design, technology, coding, and quality, then we need to talk.
StRAtOS can offer you, as a game author, these benefits:

  • Royalties that are among the average in the industry.
  • Large distribution channels: we publish products in Spain, England, Germany, USA, Australia, Denmark and many other countries all over the world.

On the other hand, there are drawbacks of working with StRAtOS:

  • Authors are given nothing in the way of development funding and royalty advances. Most StRAtOS authors either support themselves during their first project (with a job or consulting work on the side).
  • Benefits are paid to developments teams when products have been sold to final companies. StRAtOS only remains 10% of the total benefits.

  • If you already have a game in the works or near completion, we can work with you to improve it, create a marketing and distribution strategy, and prepare it for release through StRAtOS's channels.
  • We've made quite a few games and we have some important tips and suggestions for making fun games, optimizing them, coordinating artwork and music, and developing them swiftly.
  • If your game needs artwork or musical help, we can assist you by either:

1. Putting an StRAtOS staff artist on the project.
2. Matching you up with an member artist or musician to join your development team.

Our quality expectations are quite average. Our games reach both commercial and medium quality, and we have distributions channel for each type. When you send a game to StRAtOS, we can say to you how much expectatives the your product can reach.

We'd like to evaluate your work by looking at a prototype version of the game you're working on, a program you've created in the past which showcases your abilities, or samples of your artwork. Here are submission instructions which explain how to send your program to StRAtOS for evaluation:

  • (if maximum size of compressed file<= 1 Megabyte) e-mail it to: stratos@macom.es
  • (if maximum size of compressed file> 1 Megabyte or it needs CD ROM) You can send it in a ZIP, floppy disk or CD ROM to postal address:

If you are interested in distributing StRAtOS games in any way, please send us a e-mail to stratos@macom.es  and specify postal address in order to send you several demos. Thanks for considering StRAtOS!
