Sograndio was named an exemplary village in 1998 and is located close to major tourist attractions: Spa Hotel of Las Caldas (10 mins), beaches, mountain treks, equestrian centre (30 mins away), golf links (10 mins) and the Picos de Europa (1 hour). From Oviedo, take the N-634 in the direction of Grado-La Espina. Follow this route for a distance of 7 km, until you reach the village of Sograndio. After entering Sograndio you will see the Bar Sograndio on your left and the children's playground, and just opposite the bar on your right you will see a small road leading away from the main route. Take this road (it will be a right turn if you are coming from Oviedo) and follow it down the hill for a few metres until you see a signpost directing you to Villarmil on the left. Turn left at this signpost, and follow the road for about 1 km until you come to a red painted house located just opposite an hórreo bearing the name "Casa La Cuesta". If you are arriving via the A-66 from Leon, continue along this route in the direction of Grado-La Espina until you see an exit marked Oviedo Oeste. Exit here, and follow the signs to the N-634 direction Grado-La Espina. Continue along the N-634 until you come to the village of Sograndio. 43º 21' 2,2" N |
